John is a lofty book dealing specifically with the deity of Jesus Christ which is based around eight specific miracles and instances that John so selectively writes about. Now in John chapter 20 concerning the eight signs John says "And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book. But these were written, that you might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing you might have life through His name.” The reason that John wrote this book is given to you in verse 31. These are written that you might believe that Jesus is the Christ the Son of God, that He is deity and that He is Messiah and that in believing you might have life! That is why I love this book.The purpose of John is to convince people who don’t believe that Jesus is the Christ, and then for those of us who do believe, to continue to believe that we might experience more life. Not just being born again, but just more and more of the abundant life that He wants you to enjoy.

Consider giving out this gospel to unbeleivers rather than any other book or clever tract because this books entire purpose is to save those who are lost. And as we as believers study through the gospel of John and continue to believe, we will continue to experience more and more abundant life as we spend more time with the Author of Life!
