Genesis. The word means "beginning", so it's a fitting title for a book that deals with the origins of everything. The book of Genesis chronicles four major events in history, namely, the creation of the universe, the fall of man, Noah's flood, and the Tower of Babel, all of which set the stage for the world we know today. It also follows the lives of four key historical men- Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph.
The book of Genesis is a historical book, to be sure, but it's also a deeply personal one. The story of the universe- creation, fall and redemption- is our story too! Just like the earth, we were formless and void until the Lord said "Let there be light!" This is an amazing book, both practical and personal, so join us as we go back and look at where it all began.
