Student Leadership

The student leaders are those students in the Youth Group who have shown an interest to lead their fellow students in the things of the Lord. They have really shown a deep hunger for the things of God and the building of His kingdom. It is our desire to give them as many tools as we can to help them grow both in their relationships with Jesus, and to explore and hone their God given leadership talents. God has also been giving them opportunities to lead within the youth group as well, through reading the announcements, leading devotionals before the messages on Thursdays and on all the retreats, maintaining the website, and more. God is truly raising them up for His purposes!

EllyI accepted Christ when I was four years old, and it has been quite a journey since then. I love my Savior, but not nearly as much as He loves me. I've seen that the things of this world are nothing in comparison to the glory of God Almighty. There is nothing I want more than to know who He is and to dwell in His presence.
At this time the Lord hasn't shown me where to go next exactly. I know that I have a strong desire to bring the gospel to the unreached people groups of the earth, but I have no idea what the future holds. However, I am certain that His plan for me is far greater than anything I could do myself. My life is completely in His hands, and I wouldn't want it any other way.
I love playing guitar, watching sunsets, and talking about Jesus to anyone who will listen. :)
Jesus Christ is my life, my love, my protecter, my healer, my savior, and my great reward. He is Lord of all and He is coming again soon!
"I am my beloved's and my beloved is mine."
Song of Solomon 6:3

myfamilyGrowing up in a slightly Christian home I knew little about Jesus but never had or desired a relationship with him until my freshman year of high school. LesliAnn my big sister and best friend invited me on our annual bike trip where I got saved and gave my life to Jesus Christ. In time I began to really develop a relationship with Jesus Christ and I became a student leader. I am very excited to see what the Lord has planned for us this year. Through our student leader meetings thus far, I know that big things are going to happen here for the glory of God! Don't miss out! I feel the Lord calling me to Bible College and I am very excited to go! I love playing basketball, throwing the pigskin around and long walks on the beach... :) God bless! There is no condemnation in Jesus Christ, he has conquered death so that we may live free of our guilt and shame. "For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace." -Romans 6:14 PRAISE THE LORD!

Laurel Yae

LaurelI grew up in a Christian home but didn’t come to know and realize the love, mercy, and justice of the Lord until a Jr. High retreat several years back. A few months later He asked me to dedicate my entire life to Him. Ever since then my relationship with Jesus has strengthened and grown more intimate. And still continues to do so.

I’m definitely excited to discover what the Lord has planned for me in the future. He recently has put in me a passion for the medical field (something I never saw myself doing just two years ago), and also a calling to orphans in poverty stricken areas of the world.

A few of my interests/hobbies: biking, athletics, sports medicine, youth group, photography, summer activities… etc. I absolutely love to learn and try new things.

Overall, the Lord is my rock, shelter, king, father, husband, and savior. Come to know Him with a willing heart and He will amaze you. :)

“Return to your rest, O my soul, For the LORD has dealt bountifully with you. For You, O Lord, have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, and my feet from falling, that I may walk before the Lord in the land of the living.”

- Psalm 116:7-9
